I think the author showed great strength in telling her story. I also believe it will open the hearts and eyes of many including parents.
If more of our young people would open up about their pain we might have less suicides and less teen addicts.
Once I started reading, I couldn't put this book down! This book exemplifies how people can be imprisoned to abuse by mistakened LOVE. "LOVE SHOULDN'T HURT!" Anyone who has experienced physical and/or emotional abuse should read this book. The author encapsulated the fact that you don't have to remain in an abusive relationship, even though it may take some people years to realize it. "Niyah" woke up before it was too late! Will you? Go Niyah..waiting for the sequel to 8 Lanes!!!

I loved this book! Very interesting, definitely a page turner. I believe any one can get a message from this story, whether it's to speak up when you need help, be aware of signs that a loved one needs help, or even not to let negative circumstances keep you down. I'll for sure be on the lookout for more novels from Denisha )
NOT THE COMPLETE BOOK!!!!
I got this book as it was listed free on , and the description says 243 pages, but there are NOT 243 paged here!! The book STOPS after the third chapter.
I was really ready to read a full book. Imagine my surprise this just ended... If you're only going to offer PART the book free, just say it's a preview or the first few chapters so people know they're not getting a whole book!

Hard to rate; I am still reading. I noticed some errors; I suggest more editing. I like that the author is addressing domestic violence.
Great captivating personal story. Once you start reading, you can't put it down.
I love how she is bringing light to a subject that is so taboo. Great work Friend!
